Nick Davis on the official
Genesis site, all tracks are studio versions. Nick shared, "There
will be new mixes of pretty much everything up to the [Genesis]
album, [although] probably not "Supper's Ready" (after all
band members approval of course!). For your [information], I do a 5.1
mix of the old title and do a new stereo mix at the same time. This
means that slowly we are building up a 5.1 catalog which will bring the
SACD releases closer - I hope!!" One can only assume that the
comment about complete band approval obviously relates to Peter
Gabriel's supposed disenchantment with the 5.1 mix of The Lamb Lies
Down on Broadway.

5.1 Mix of The Lamb Lies Down - Delayed Again
While Tony Banks, Mike Rutherford, Phil Collins, and Steve Hackett were
fine with the new 5.1 mix of The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway, it
appears Peter Gabriel is not. According to a post by Genesis engineer
Nick Davis on the
band's official site, additional work will be done on the mix prior
to releasing it. This means that the November release formally planned
is not going to happen. 2005 anyone?
