Nick Davis Announces Change In Plans For Genesis 5.1 Reissues &
Laser Show
According to Nick Davis, long time producer for Genesis and Phil
Collins, the titles chosen for remixing in 5.1 surround sound are now
The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway and Invisible Touch.
According to a post of the official
Genesis site, these albums were chosen by Genesis themselves,
because they represent "key" albums in the band's history.
This means that the initial plans to remix the self-titled album and We
Can't Dance in 5.1 will not be happening for the time being.
Nick expects to start mixing The Lamb in 5.1 as soon as next
week. Apparently, the band wants The Lamb mixes done by the spring, with
the release some time after that (the date is not specified at this
time). In other surround sound news, Nick is mixing several Genesis hits
into 5.1 for a laser show in Germany. Among the selected material is
"Follow You Follow Me." More news on where in Germany this
show will take place when known.
