Nick Davis Provides Details on
Forthcoming Genesis 2007 Live DVD and Double Album (** SPOILER'S ALERT **)
According to the
Nick Davis section of the official Genesis site, Nick has revealed that the
forthcoming Genesis live DVD recorded in Rome, Italy at the Circus Maximus will
be called
When In Rome.
The DVD will feature a Dolby Digital and a DTS 5.1 surround sound track and have
"many extras" which may delay the release of this DVD. No word as to what those
extras are just yet.
The live album, which is taken from many different shows in Europe on the 2007
Genesis Turn It On Again reunion tour, will be called
Live Over Europe.
The double CD live album is not expected to be delayed due to the additions
being added to the DVD release. Nick Davis confirmed what Daryl Stuermer
revealed here on World of Genesis.com first... that the live CD will be remixed
into 5.1 surround sound! Sadly, according to Nick, the surround mixes will not
be available when the album is released. It may be available in the future
should the older Genesis live albums all be mixed into surround sound (as the
studio albums have been for the
1976-1982,
1983-1998, and the 1970-1975 box sets). The following is known to
date about where each track from the live album was recorded:

Robin Platts To Release Behind
The Lines 1967-2007 Genesis Biography
Robin Platts, the
author who previously brought us the
Genesis Inside & Out biography,
is set to release new book,
Genesis - Behind The Lines 1967-2007. The 184-page biography, which
is reportedly an updated edition of Inside & Out book, is scheduled
for release on Collector's Guide Publishing. Platts' old book actually had
some new information not featured in other Genesis bios, despite a few
serious errors in the text. It will be interesting to see if this book
corrects those mistakes and offers more undiscussed insight into the band's
career. Get your copy today!
