Steve Hackett's Out of The Tunnel's
Mouth Finally Gets Released
Steve Hackett's new studio album, Out of the Tunnel's Mouth, was
delayed due to legal reasons as part of the spit with his former manager.
Thankfully, the issues holding up the release of Steve's new album have been
resolved and the album was officially released yesterday. The CD is
available exclusively through the new
official Steve

Steve Hackett Featured On New Algebra
Album
Dusk, the Italian
Genesis fan site, reports that Steve Hackett appears on the new Algebra
album, JL. JL is a concept album
based upon the book
Jonathan Livingston Seagull. Steve
plays guitar on "Il Molo Deserto" and his brother John plays flute on three
tracks. Progressive rock fans should note that the project also includes
Aldo
Tagliapietra (of the popular prog rock band Le Orme) and Lino Vairetti (of
the band Osanna). The album is
available
here from an Italian seller (there is presently no North American
release planned). Though this link, you can also purchase the Dusk Day
DVD, which features live performances from Steve and John Hackett among

Autographs For Charity Auction

Phil Collins Talks About Forthcoming Solo
Album
Yahoo! News reports that Phil Collins
was quoted by Hamburger Abendblatt, a German
newspaper, as saying that he is planning to release a solo album of Motown
cover tunes. Collins says the project, which will be released in 2010, will
have 30-tracks. Collins added, "I want the songs to sound exactly like the
originals."

Genesis and Members Sign New Publishing
Deal
According to the official Genesis
site, Imagem
Music Group have entered into a long-term, exclusive administration
agreement with the members of Genesis, Tony Banks, Mike Rutherford and Phil
Collins as of July 1, 2009. This lucrative agreement means that Imagem Music
will represent the catalogs of Genesis, Banks, Rutherford (including Mike &
The Mechanics) and Collins. In addition, in a separate deal, Imagem Music
purchased a 50% share of the Phil Collins catalog from Phillip Collins
Limited. Collectively, Phil Collins as a solo artist and Genesis have sold
in excess of a quarter billion albums.

Release Date of Peter
Gabriel's Forthcoming Album Announced in Japan
Peter Gabriel's forthcoming album, Scratch My Back (see
last month's news for details),
has been announced for release in Japan according to Toshiba/EMI. The album,
which is now set for Japanese release on January 27, 2010 (catalog number:
TOCP-66925), features Gabriel performing other musician's songs and those
musician's performing his songs. A complete track listing should be
available in the coming month.

From Genesis To
Revelation To Be Reissued on LP in North America
Varese Sarabande will reissue a new audiophile 180 gram stereo LP pressing
of From Genesis to Revelation, Genesis' first album. This album was
the only studio album from the "Peter Gabriel era" of Genesis not to be
included in the Rhino Records Genesis
1970-1975 limited edition 180 gram LP boxed set. The release of
From Genesis to Revelation on LP is expected next sales quarter.
