"Brand New" Hackett Downloadable Single Released; Fall Euro
Tour Dates Announced
According to an e-mail from Steve
Hackett's official site, you can now purchase a downloadable MP3
version of his new single, "Brand New." The download consists
of an MP3 of the track (as a radio edit) along with unique DIY printable
Kim Poor slipcase artwork in pdf format. Camino are testing demand with
this exclusive version of the track which is featured on Hackett's new
album, To Watch The Storms. If you like the idea of purchasing
albums or singles in downloadable format, you might want to purchase a
copy. If demand warrants it, Camino Records might make other titles,
including rare material, available this way (personally, I prefer
professionally pressed aluminum CDs and album sleeves to homemade CD-Rs
and pdf print-outs, but I suppose that is becoming an "old
fashioned" way of thinking?).
In other Hackett news, tour dates have been announced for the U.K. and
Sweden for October and early November (prior to the German dates already
posted here). Click here
to see the newly added dates.

Anthony Phillips CD Release Date Delayed
According to the official
Ant Phillips site, Radio Clyde is now set for release on June
16th (a week later than previously announced). In other Phillips news,
Snapper Music has several mistakes on the packaging to Ant's new
compilation, Soundscapes. According to Phillips' site,
"Track 6 on the first CD is actually "Dawn Over The Lake"
and not "Heart of Darkness" and track 4 on the second CD is
actually an edited version of "Reaper" from The Living Room
Concert and not the "Opening Theme" from Sail The World.
There are also a number of errors in the publishing information for the
included tracks."
