News today from John Caralco himself on his forth coming project with
Daryl Stuermer. Apparently, some of the material from John's previous
project, Vellocet, will be under consideration for his new album.
According to John, "The powers that be suggested that I not release
[the Vellocet] CD due to the possibility of using some of the old material
from that first CD combined with new stuff. Daryl is going over some of
it with me and we're narrowing down the material." More news will

Phil Collins Partners With Swatch For Charity
According to the official Phil
Collins site and the Swatch
site, Phil has sanctioned two limited edition Phil Collins Swatch
watches. Some of the proceeds from the sale of these watches will go to
The Little Dreams Foundation, which is a youth charity established and
lead by Collins' wife.
Swatch
is producing two watches, designed by Collins, that will be launched in
the first quarter of 2003, both to be sold as a set included with a
single from his latest album in a special tour case packaging, and
numbered and limited to 10,000 pieces worldwide. Also in the packaging
are 10 never-before-released photos of Phil Collins. The
watches will also be available separately in a non-limited quantity with
a special sleeve packaging. I contacted Swatch to get an exact release
date, but the person I spoke to did not have that information yet. More

Official Genesis Site Reveals That Genesis Archive Club Is
"Dead"
Well, the good news is that it sounds as if Genesis archive releases may
still see the light of day. The webmaster of the
official Genesis site explained
today that the concept of a club-type subscription service will not
be pursued further due to administrative concerns (among other things)
by Hit & Run, the band's management. There are also
"issues" surrounding the possible release of archive
recordings (my guess is that Atlantic Records and Virgin Records want a
piece of the action). Once these "issues" are dealt with, we
might actually see some of this stuff released! Oh, pesky world of
royalties!
