News on Forthcoming Phil Collins DVD/Blu-Ray
For 2010 Tour; Details On Phil Collins U.K. TV Broadcast
Its been known a while that Phil Collins was recording his Friday, June 25th
show at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City for a forthcoming video
release. Thankfully, a Genesis fan named Mike Bara was there to talk to the film
crew and get details for us! According to Mike the project will be released
via Eagle Rock and was shot in high definition. It was later confirmed by
World of Genesis.com that Eagle Rock does have intentions of a DVD and Blu-Ray
release. The project is shooting for a release close to that of Phil
Collins' new album,
Going Back, in the fall of 2010. The video release will also
possibly include some bonus footage shot by Eagle Rock around the tour as
well as some additional video taken around the promotional activities around
the album in August. According to a source at Eagle Rock, the added bonus
footage is subject to Phil's approval, so that may change by the time this
is released. Stay tuned for more details soon.
In other video news, Phil Collins' ITV Studios broadcast in the U.K. on June
28th featured 8-songs: "Going To A Go-Go", "My Girl", "Tears of a Clown",
"You Can't Hurry Love", "Heatwave", "Going Back", "Dancing in The Street"
and "Two Hearts." To date, this is the only performance where "Two Hearts"
has been performed on this tour. The show is expected to air shortly in
Europe, but there are no plans at this time to air the program in North
America.

Scratch Your Own Back! Peter Gabriel
Begins Work on 'New Blood' Studio Project of His Own Solo Material
According to the official Peter
Gabriel site, work has begun on a new Peter Gabriel studio project with
The New Blood Orchestra. At George Martin's Air Studios in England, the
orchestra has already revisited some Peter Gabriel's classic back catalog,
including: "Digging In The Dirt"; "Rhythm of the Heat"; "Downside Up";
"Intruder"; "Father, Son"; and "Blood of Eden." No further information is
available at this time, but since this project seems to be progressing more
quickly than the typical Gabriel studio project, perhaps more details will

World of Genesis Gets Feedback From
Genesis' Management About the 1970 Roundhouse Film Footage
As reported here yesterday, World of Genesis.com contacted Genesis'
management about the never-before-unearthed footage of Genesis live at the
Roundhouse in 1970. Today, management has issued a statement on the footage
exclusively to World of Genesis.com. Its been reported that the band's
management spent months tracking down this footage and actually located it.
They considered adding it to the Genesis
Movie Box last year, but ultimately it was not included since
their exhaustive search never turned up the original audio track (what you
hear in that YouTube clip is an alternate audio track overdubbed on the film
footage - its not the genuine audio). So, at least for now, it sounds like
our hopes of seeing the complete film footage from this historic event
remain in the hopes and dreams of Genesis fans around the world... but at
least we know it exists (somewhere).

Genesis 1970 Roundhouse Film Footage
Surfaces!
Its been rumored, discussed, and wished for by Genesis fans for years - the
long, lost film footage of Genesis performing live at the Roundhouse on
March 11, 1970
- Now, after long last, it
has finally been
unearthed! Well, snippets of it... and where else? YouTube! The
performance, which was part of The Atomic Sunrise Festival opening for David
Bowie, featured the Genesis line-up of Peter Gabriel, Tony Banks, Anthony
Phillips, Mike Rutherford, and John Mayhew and is the earliest known
professional concert film footage known to have ever been recorded on the
band! This pre-Trespass footage is allegedly about 20 minutes in
length and the quality is amazingly good (the snippets show glimpses of
"Looking For Someone" and "The Knife")! World of Genesis.com has passed the
YouTube link on to Genesis' management. Hopefully, a deal can be arranged to
release this important historical film in the future. Stay tuned!

Steve Hackett's 2-CD Out of The
Tunnel's Mouth - At A Blow-Out Price!
As many people know, Inside Out Records has picked up the distribution of
Steve Hackett's latest album, Out of the Tunnel's Mouth. Many people
also know that in addition to the standard 1-CD version that was previously
available, there is a special edition 2-CD set with a bonus disc of live
tracks (including many Genesis tracks). What fans may not realize is how
much less expensive the U.S. pressing of the 2-CD set is compared to the
European import. Its a bargain!
