Steve Hackett Brings His 2005 Acoustic Tour To North America; New
Interview On-Line!
According to the official Steve
Hackett site, Steve will be bringing his 2005 acoustic tour to North
America! Dates include Canadian stops in Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal and
Qubec, and U.S. dates in Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts,
Ohio, Wisconsin, and Illinois. More information can be found here.

Anthony Phillips Has Finished Recording His Next Private Parts &
Pieces Album
According to the official
Anthony Phillips site, Ant has completed the recording of his next
solo album. It is anticipated that the album may be released as soon as
the early fall of this year.

Solid State Logic purchased by Peter
Gabriel and David Engelke
According to the official Peter
Gabriel site, Solid State Logic’s assets have been acquired by a
joint venture established by Peter Gabriel and broadcast industry
entrepreneur, David Engelke. The company, which describes themselves as
"the world's leading console company," will trade as Solid
State Logic and will continue to design and manufacture mixing consoles
and related audio technology at its Begbroke, Oxford headquarters in
England.

Phil Collins Announces More Tour Dates For 2005 First Final Farewell
Tour
According to the official Phil
Collins site, tour dates have been announced for Dusseldorf, Germany
(Little Dreams Benefit Show); Beirut; Prague; and two Russian shows in

Genesis' Foxtrot 5.1 Mix Completed
According to the official
Genesis site, the 5.1 mix of Foxtrot has been completed by
Nick Davis at the band's studio, The Farm. No official release date has
been set for Foxtrot, The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway, Nursery
Cryme, or Trick of The Tail, all of which are now mixed into
the new surround sound format. According to the site, "the remixes
await the final approval of all concerned in their original recording
and, when received, dates for their release will be set." More news
on this when we get it!

Rutherford and Bruford Reunite On Stage For The First Time Since 1976
According to the official
Genesis site, Mike Rutherford recently played live on stage at a
private reception in the West Sussex countryside in England. The party,
which was to celebrate the marriage of Roxy Music's Phil Manzanera to
leading music publicist Claire Singers, featured a session of '60s soul
and other golden oldies played by a band featuring: Mike Rutherford,
Phil Manzanera and Pink Floyd's David Gilmour on guitars; Roxy Music's
Andy Mackay on saxes; and drummers Bill Bruford, Paul Thompson (Roxy
Music) and Kenny Jones (Small Faces). The impromptu event was the first
time that Mike Rutherford and Bill Bruford shared a stage since the 1976
Trick of The Tail Tour.

Genesis site, Mojo, a European music publication, recently
interviews Mike and Tony for an upcoming issue on progressive rock. No
publication date has been announced to date.

Peter Gabriel Helps Organize Live8 Concert In Africa
According to an article in The
Independent, Peter Gabriel, along with Midge Ure, have
co-organized Live8 events for Africa with a line-up that provides proper
representation to world artists like Youssou
N'Dour, Maryam Mursal, Angélique Kidjo, and others.
