New Stiltskin Website Launched
There is a new website
to promote the forthcoming Stiltskin album, She (formerly
known under the working title Lemon Yellow Sun). The new
website is: www.stiltskin.org.
Be sure to check it out and hear samples from all 12 tracks on the
new album! You can also enter to win a signed copy of the new CD!
The album will be released this summer followed by a fall tour.

Hackett Remasters Released In North America & Asia
Caroline Records in North America will finally release the remasters of
the first four Steve Hackett solo albums on CD there official release
date is this coming Tuesday for the first two (Voyage of The Acolyte and
Please Don't Touch!) and February 21st for the third and fourth solo
albums (Defector and Spectral Mornings).
Perhaps more interestingly, The Japanese pressings are expected to be
released on EMI/Virgin on February 23, 2006. Unlike the North American
and the European issues which are in normal CD cases, the Japanese
pressings will be in mini-LP style CD sleeves!

Anthony Phillips Records New Library Music
According to the official
Anthony Phillips site, Ant is working on another Library Music
project for Atmosphere Music. The music is not expected to be commercially
available.

Gabriel Material From Cancelled Fifa Gala May Still Be Released
In a recent issue of the Berlin Newspaper Der
Tagesspiegel, there was an interview with Andre Heller. Heller, who
was involved in the planning of the Fifa World Cup Gala that was
cancelled a week ago, disclosed that some of the material Peter Gabriel
produced for this event may surface. Heller stated that they would like
to "release bits and pieces of the work on DVD to give the world an
impression of what we were about to create." No word yet on any
details of such a release. Stay tuned for details!

Mario Giammetti Interview Now Available On-Line
With the start of a new year, we've added a new section of the site, a
World of Genesis Fan Forum. Here, a different fan will be interviewed
and highlighted periodically for their contributions to the Genesis fan
community. Our first interview for this new section of the site is Mario
Giammetti.
A Genesis fan since in the
'70s, Mario is best known for his Italian based fanzine, Dusk,
which printed it's 50th issue in August 2005. In addition, Mario has
written numerous books on the band and it's members including his latest
book on guitarist Steve Hackett. Mario sat down to talk with World of
Genesis about his books, his fanzine, and his passion as a Genesis
enthusiast. To

Fifa World Cup Gala Cancelled - Peter Gabriel Will Not Perform

News and the official
Peter Gabriel site, the 2006 Fifa World Cup Opening Ceremony gala in Germany
that was supposed to feature performances by Peter Gabriel and
Brian Eno has been cancelled. Speculation is that the costs for
the event rose over £17m and ticket sales were extremely
sluggish.

Gabriel Makes Plea For Fans To Donate To Help South East Asia
Earthquake Victims

Peter Gabriel's official website
just posted a new video clip with Gabriel asking for his fans to make a
small contribution to assist in the aid of the victims of South East
Asia earthquake. In return for this contribution, the family of the late
Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, a former native of Pakistan, has agreed to offer
two downloads from the official Gabriel site: one a collaboration with
Massive Attack, "Mustt Mustt," and "Taboo", which
was recorded with Peter Gabriel (formerly from the Natural Born
Killers soundtrack).

Duke 5.1 Remaster Should Be Completed By The End of The Month
According to Nick Davis, the digitally remastered and remixed version of
Genesis' 1980 album Duke is nearing completion. Davis started on
January 9th, and says that it will take approximately two weeks from
that date to remix the songs he has not already done (several of the
songs from Duke were already remixed for The Platinum
Collection CD).

Chester Thompson To Appear On Forthcoming Denny Jiosa Album
Since finishing the 2005 Phil Collins First Final Farewell Tour, Chester
Thompson has been busy. He just finished some studio work with jazz
guitarist Denny Jiosa. Thompson will appear on one track on the new
album, which is still being completed and is yet un-named. Thompson has
worked with Jiosa on several other of his solo albums. More on this
project when I have it!

World of Genesis.com Interviewed For New Article On Potential
Genesis Reunion
The Sault
Star in Canada has just published a new article on the
possibility of a Genesis reunion today. Among the people interviewed is
World of Genesis.com's Dave Negrin. Click here to read it (WEBMASTER'S
NOTE: It says in the article that I said that if a Genesis reunion
happens it may not be until 2007. What was actually said to the
reporter was that due to the official statement from Genesis' management
that a reunion could not possibly happen before 2007.).

Update On Forthcoming Official Steve Hackett Biography
According to Allan Hewitt, the author of the forthcoming official Steve
Hackett biography, the book is in it's third draft and is getting close
to completion. Steve Hackett himself is apparently pleased with the
outcome of the book thus far and continues to make minor suggestions to
improve the biography even further. No street date has been announced
yet, but when it is, it will be posted here.

Genesis Featured In The New Issue of Classic Rock Magazine

On sale January 11th, the
March 2006 issue of Classic Rock Magazine will have as it's
cover and main feature the story of The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway
with the members of Genesis looking back at the making of their classic
