Starbucks Genesis Opus CD Missing In
Action?
Despite an e-mail blast from the
official Genesis site announcing its release on July
31st, the Genesis Starbucks Opus Collection does not appear to have been
released. To date, there is still no news of its release on the Starbucks site
either. When more news is available on this reported release (from the official

Phase Two of Enhanced Shopping
Section Added To World of Genesis.com
In addition to the shopping features already on this site, I am in the process
of dramatically enhancing the
Shopping
Section. In addition to being able to directly search through Amazon on this
site (which you can do now), I have also started including new easy to use links
that directly take you to all of the titles by an individual artist in the World
of Genesis. To date, new comprehensive sections on Anthony Phillips, Chester
Thompson, Chris Stewart, and Phil Collins (PC's is still somewhat in progress)
have been added in addition to the sections for Genesis, Tony Banks, Steve
Hackett, Mike Rutherford, and Ray Wilson which were added last month. The
remaining artists will follow shortly (in the interim, you can still find them
by searching in the section yourself). These individual artists' sections will
make it much easier to go to one place to find imports, CD singles, CDs
(including other artists' projects they appear on), DVDs, and other items. I
hope you enjoy the second phase of this new feature!

Phil Collins Regrets Long Genesis
Reunion Commitment According To New Interview
According to a new interview in the August issue of Mojo Magazine (in
stores now) and posted on the
Contact Music site, Phil Collins states that he regrets committing to the
50+ date Genesis reunion tour. Collins explains, "I'm
not interested. My life is in turmoil. Frankly, at the moment I am living for my
two little boys, so this tour is actually a pain in the arse, because I'm away
from home. I've been trying to keep it short. Every time somebody said we could
pay for the tour if we do another four dates, I said no. I signed on to buy a
blue suit: I don't want to end up with a red one." Collins is, of course,
referring to his recent divorce, and his time away from his two young children
from that marriage. The current Genesis tour will conclude in October at The
Hollywood Bowl in California. For more information on the tour, visit the
On Tour Section of this site.
Speaking of current press, Genesis is featured in the August issue of Record
Collector, another UK-based magazine, which is also available in stores now.
