San Antonio Times, the concert this March celebrating the 175th
anniversary of the Alamo in Texas has been postponed due to lack of
sponsorship funding. The event was set to include artists like Phil Collins
and country music singer Ricky Skaggs. Collins, in his only scheduled live

symphonic performance featuring some of his many hits. As of right now, no
new date as been determined. Stay tuned for details.

Dusk Founder/Author To Open 'the Musical
Box' in Italy with Steve Hackett This March
Mario Giammetti, creator of the Genesis fanzine
Dusk and author of the new Genesis
book, Musical Box,
will have his new book presented at
San Pietro a Majella
Conservatory
in Naples, Italy on March 11, 2011 with Steve Hackett as a special guest!
For those who are unfamiliar with Mario's new book, its an Italian language
514-page history on the band that is unique from any book ever written on
the band.
It lists in alphabetical order every Genesis song - and not
just the material officially released, but every single song that surfaced
during the last 40 years of the band's history. Each song is critically
analysed and features an interpretation of the lyrics with extracts (both in
English and Italian) of the lyrics themselves. Each song is also traced
through the history of the band (who actually wrote it - in spite of the
credits on the original records). Also provided is a tour by tour live
history for every tune. Lastly, Musical Box also provides a
comprehensive directory of every Genesis cover ever done by an artist
associated with the band's history.
This is quite a
remarkable undertaking! Unfortunately, the book is not available outside of
Italy in retail outlets, but you can purchase the book from
Amazon in Italy (who will ship overseas).
