Genesis Announce U.S. Press Conference For
North American Tour
Contact Music is reporting that Genesis will have a press conference on
March 7th in New York to announce the North American leg of the 2007 Genesis
Turn It On Again Tour.

Phil Collins To Appear on X Factor Reality
TV Show
Sources report that Phil Collins will appear in the finals on the
X Factor reality show
on Dutch television next Saturday, February 24th. Finalists will sing two of
Collins' hits along with a special performance from the Tarzan Broadway
musical by Phil himself.

New Interview With John Mayhew Posted
On-Line; Mayhew Receives Back Royalties
There is a new interview with John Mayhew, the drummer on Genesis' Trespass
album, in
The Daily Record in the U.K. In article, John reveals that Genesis
provided him with £78,000 in back royalties for his work on that landmark album
(As you may recall in the World of Genesis.com
interview with John Mayhew
he eluded to this happening back in 2006). Unfortunately for Mayhew, it appears
that some of that money has been squandered by fair weathered 'friends.'

Genesis To Participate In Al Gore's Live
Earth Concerts in July
According to
Rolling Stone Magazine on-line today, Genesis has joined the all-star
line up for Al Gore's Live Earth concerts on July 7th. The concert is reported
to include performances by The Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Police, Kanye West,
and what is reported to be approximately 100 "top acts." More bands are expected
to be announced shortly.

Peter Gabriel Featured In New BBC
Documentary
According to
DrowndedinSound.com, Peter Gabriel will be featured in a BBC4 documentary on
birdsong. The 80-minute documentary entitled Why Bird Sing will also
feature appearances by Beth Orton, Gillemots, Jarvis Cocker, and others.
According to the article, "The show will reach a restrained yet probably
wondeful climax with Gabriel and Guillemots playing over a selection of various
birdsongage, including the noises made by woodpeckers, stonechat, the butcher
bird and, intriguingly, the hoopoe."

Nir Z Announces News On New Projects
According to the official
Nir Z site, Nir recorded drums for the forthcoming Chris Cornell solo album.
The album, Cornell's sophomore solo effort and first since leaving his latest
band Audio Slave, will be released shortly. Nir Z also recorded new music with
Siobhan Dillan and John Cruz.
