Anthony Phillips CD Reissues Announced For
Europe
According to the
official Anthony Phillips site, the 2-CD reissue of Phillips' Geese & The
Ghost will be released in Europe on Voiceprint Records on April 14th.
Anthony Phillips' newest album, Wild Life, will be released on the label
on April 21st following by the 2-CD reissues of Wise After The Event and
1984 which will be released in May and June respectively. Sadly, there
are no plans to reissue any of the other Anthony Phillips titles which have
surfaced recently in Japan. Reportedly, unlike the Japanese pressings, these
European CDs will not be in mini LP style sleeves. For the limited

Peter Gabriel Confirms His Involvement In
New Animated Pixar Movie
On the
official Peter Gabriel site, Gabriel shares in his video blog that he is
involved with the soundtrack to the forthcoming Pixar film,
WALL-E.
Gabriel was originally approached in 2005 about the WALL-E project. He
reveals it will have a couple of new "bits" as well as a couple of pieces of
music he is revisiting from his past. At this point, it is unknown exactly
how many songs Peter Gabriel has developed for the film. The futuristic
animated film is set for release in theaters June 27, 2008.
In other spaced aged Gabriel news, Peter's cover of "Book of Love" from the
Shall We Dance? soundtrack was used by NASA as a wake-up call for
the Space Shuttle
Atlantis this month.

Peter Gabriel and Paul McCartney Get Behind
"Record Store Day" In April
According to
UndercoverHD, April 19th has been declared National Record Store Day in the
United States. Artists like Paul McCartney, Blur's Damon Albarn, and Peter
Gabriel have come out in support of this observance which acknowledges the
importance of the record store to our society and culture. In response to Record
Store Day, Gabriel said, "I was introduced to lots
of great music through my local record store. It was a place where people knew
music and they knew me, and could make great suggestions and discoveries.
Whether it is in the physical world or on-line, the value of a great and
knowledgeable record store has not gone away."

David Rhodes Soundtrack Featuring Peter
Gabriel Confirmed For 2008 Release
News has come out that a CD featuring David Rhodes and Richard Evans soundtrack
to the National Geographic IMAX film Sea Monsters: A Prehistoric Adventure,
will be released later this year. The soundtrack includes a couple of tracks
featuring Peter Gabriel on vocals. While no release date is confirmed yet, we
are hopeful a pre-order will be announced soon. Stay tuned!
