Steve Hackett Reveals His Intention To
Appear At Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony
In a recent e-mail blast from Steve Hackett to subscribers of
his new official
website, Steve reveals that he intends to be present at the 2010 Rock
and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in New York in March. Hopefully,
more details about which other members of the band plan to attend will be
known in early 2010.

Genesis to be Inducted Into The Rock N'
Roll Hall of Fame
The Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame have
formally announced their
2010 list of inductees. This year's class includes Genesis, Abba, The
Stooges, The Hollies, and Jimmy Cliff. Also being inducted this year as
individual recipients of the Ahmet Ertegun Award will be David Geffen and
songwriters Barry Mann, Cynthia Weil, Elle Greenwich, Jeff Barry, Jesse
Stone, Mort Shuman and Otis Blackwell. The ceremony will take place on March
15, 2010 at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City and will air live on Fuse,
Madison Square Garden’s national music television network. Congratulations
to Genesis and the other 2010 inductees!

Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks Talk About
Hall of Fame Nomination and New Mike & The Mechanics Album
Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford just completed a quick
question and answer session with Rolling Stone Magazine about
Genesis' announced induction into the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame. In addition
to speculation about the possibility of a Genesis live performance at the
ceremony (with or without Peter Gabriel), Mike also talks about his new Mike
and the Mechanics project (sans Paul Carrack) with new singer Andrew
Roachford, "an R&B style singer." Rutherford says that he is also
collaborating with new songwriters on the project as well. Be sure to check

Nick Davis Given Grammy Nomination For
Work On Genesis Box Set
Long time Genesis Producer and Engineer Nick Davis has been honored with a
Grammy Award Nomination for "Best Surround Album" for his work on the
Genesis
1970-1975 Box Set! The
52nd Annual Grammy Awards
will air on television on Sunday, January 31, 2010 on CBS (in North America)
at 8 p.m. Eastern/7 p.m. Central (check your local listing for details).

Peter Gabriel's Scratch My Back
Delayed; European Tour Dates for 2010 Announced!
The official Peter
Gabriel site has confirmed Peter Gabriel's new album, Scratch My Back,
has been delayed in Europe until February 15th (No U.S. date has been
announced yet).
The good news is that Peter has announced "The New Blood Tour," which
features Peter Gabriel with an orchestra (no guitar and no drums).
Details about the select announced tour dates in England, Germany and
France can be found on the official Peter Gabriel website. No further
dates have been announced at this time. Details about the Scratch My
Back album can be found in the
