Audio Fidelity Provides An Update On
Forthcoming Mike and the Mechanics Audiophile CD
As reported here exclusively back in February, Audio Fidelity will be
reissuing a remastered audiophile 24k gold CD for Mike and the Mechanics
debut self-titled album. Audio Fidelity has shared with World of Genesis.com
exclusively that the remastering process of the album is complete and that
the artwork is currently being approved by Mike Rutherford's management.
Once authorized, the official release date will be announced. Expect more
details shortly! Audio Fidelity has previously release Phil Collins'
Face Value and
No Jacket Required as limited edition, numbered audiophile CDs.

and the Mechanics related interview. This time, its with Andrew Carstens, a
contributing songwriter and vocalist on the Mechanics' latest album,
The Road. Carstens has a much smaller role than Andrew Roachford and
Tim Howar, but appears on three tracks. Be sure to read about his
involvement in Mike Rutherford's latest project and his own forthcoming solo
project.

New Genesis Article Featured In
Goldmine Magazine
The current issue of
Goldmine Magazine features as article on the early years of
Genesis. There is really no new information there, but its always nice to
see the history being kept alive in new articles and feature stories. You
can now read the entire article for free on-line.

Update On Tony Banks' Up Coming
Orchestral Album
As previously reported here, Tony Banks has been working on a new orchestral
album (a follow up to his first orchestral album,
Seven). According to musician
Martin
Robertson's official website, Robertson plays Alto Saxophone on the
opening piece of Banks' new project, a 10 minute opus for saxophone and
orchestra. The suite is being orchestrated by
Mike Englishby
and the recording of the project started in March in Prague. No release date
has been announced yet, but hopefully more information will be available on
Tony's latest project shortly!

Mike and The Mechanics' New Album Release
Pushed Back In the U.K.; New Mechanics Interview On-Line!
The new Mike and the Mechanics studio album,
The Road, is now scheduled for release in the U.K. on April 18,
2011. There has been no explanation for the one week release delay. In other
