RECOMMENDED
FAN SITES
Below are some Genesis related fan sites that I consider to be among the better
ones on the Internet (excluding World of Genesis.com, of course!).
Before I upset anyone, please note that this may be a growing list and there may
be sites out there that I am unaware of. If you wish to have your Genesis
related site considered, please visit the Link
Exchange/Advertising Request Page to let me know about it. A longer, more
detailed list of Genesis related fan sites is coming soon!
Some Favorites In Alphabetical Order...
DUSK -
Well respected Italian Genesis fan-site. The text is primarily in Italian (there
is some English text), but is still worth checking out even if you don't
speak the language! Mario from Dusk has written Italian language biographies on
Genesis, Peter Gabriel, and Phil Collins, among others.
GENESIS FAQ -
The name says it all. Find the answers to most of the most commonly asked
questions about the band and related artists.
GENESIS
DISCOGRAPHY - A fairly comprehensive discography of Genesis related
items from the common to the obscure. Check it out!
IT -
The German Genesis Fan Club was once only limited to German, but now you can
also get much of their news and information in English as well. Recommended!
LOU'S
PHIL COLLINS FAN PAGE -
Well designed site focusing on Phil and Genesis. Includes news, biographies, a
discography and more.
HOUSE OF MANY
ROOMS - Mike and The Mechanics fan-site. Plenty of great information on
the band! Check it out!
MAC'S GENESIS TRADING LIST
- A fan's collection of
rare live Genesis shows for trade. The list is not complete but fairly comprehensive, and is
helpful if you're trying to determine what Genesis shows were actually
bootlegged. The list is, however, not very comprehensive when it comes to rare,
unofficial recordings by solo artists associated with Genesis other than maybe
Phil Collins. It also has not been updated in a while, so it is definitely a little
out-dated.
SCOTT'S GENESIS
DISCOGRAPHY - Scott
offers a fairly comprehensive text-only discography on the band and its members
going up to about 1995. The discography is excellent, but does have some holes
here and there, especially with regard to promotional items on CD. Still, a fine
job and definitely worth reviewing. Scott's massive tome is also downloadable in
a number of formats for good take along reading!
THE GENESIS MUSEUM -
A site offering a look at an assortment of cool collectables ranging from ticket
stubs and tour books to sheet music and magazines on the band. Recommended!
THE MOVEMENT -
Another very informative Genesis site! Lots of news and information on the band
and related artists. Much like World of Genesis.com, The Movement is updated
regularly. Recommended!
THE WAITING ROOM -
Another excellent site. Alan's Genesis page offers a good assortment of news
and is updated periodically. Alan is best known to Genesis fans for writing the
Genesis biography Opening The Musical Box (re-printed and updated as
Genesis Revisited in 2007) and the up-coming Steve Hackett
biography Sketches of Steve Hackett. Recommended!
TURN IT ON AGAIN
- A new favorite fan site. This site includes regularly updated news, a forum,
tour dates, and more. Nicely designed, too!
THE DEARLY DEPARTED
(VERY GOOD FAN SITES THAT ARE NO LONGER WITH US):
THE PATH - Sadly,
The Path is "dead." This was a great Genesis fan site for many
years. It did not get much in the way of up-dates since 2001, and in 2003 it
finally vanished from the Internet. It appears to have resurfaced in 2005,
but no updates have been made.
THE WAY THEY WALK -
TWTW was another decent news site with periodic updates. The site is still
posted, but is officially "dead" since May 2004 with no further
updates planned. Still, a nice source for older Genesis related information.
